How to Provide First Aid and CPR for Infants and Children

Overview

The hybrid online and in-person course combines flexible online learning with valuable hands-on skill practice with an instructor. It's your course at your pace. Start online then schedule in-person training with an instructor. Practice lifesaving skills on specially-designed mannequins until you feel confident.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

PADI eLearning

Online training makes it easy to learn essential lifesaving skills. Watch videos on how to perform CPR and first aid – online or offline using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor if you have questions.

Time commitment: 3-5 hours

With Your Instructor

Get hands-on experience providing CPR to newborns, infants and children using training mannequins. Learn how to manage serious bleeding, a spinal injury, choking situations and other common childhood emergencies. Practice your new skills in role-playing scenarios and learn what your family should have in a first aid kit.

Time commitment: 1-2 days

After This Course

Your EFR Instructor can also train you how to provide adult CPR and first aid for both life-threatening and non-life-threatening emergencies and teach you how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
